How do I give others selective access to my Zdrive account without giving out my username and password?
Using the Shared Folders function enables you to easily share all of your files and folders with friends and family in just a few clicks. Allow your friends, family, and the people you do business with to upload files directly to your Zdrive. We highly recommend you never share your Login Name and password with others; that is a security risk.

Can I access my Zdrive account using my Palm Pilot?
Palm access would be great. We’re trying to move in the direction of being available across a wide variety of platforms. The remainder of this year, honestly, is already scheduled with projects that mostly relate to performance improvements in speed and reliability, and infrastructure changes that will allow us to more easily port over to other platforms such as Palm early next year.

How secure is Zdrive?
Zdrive places a premium on security. We recognize what a huge issue this is with our customers since they trust us to securely store their most secure and private files. Our network infrastructure is both robust and secure. Redundant routers, switches, hardware, and backup systems are employed to ensure high availability of the Zdrive service. To provide scalability and reliability, load balancing is utilized to transparently distribute incoming requests among Zdrive application servers. All customer sessions with Zdrive are protected using password authentication.

Does Zdrive currently support FTP?
Zdrive does not currently support FTP access because it is a potentially insecure transfer method and because many firewalls do not permit FTP. If you are interested in a quick and easy way to transfer lots of files and folders between your local computer and your Zdrive, consider downloading our free Zdrive Desktop Application for windows users.
The Zdrive Desktop Software allows you to access your Zdrive directly within Windows Explorer. When you install the Desktop Software, it will map a drive in Windows to your Zdrive. When the Desktop Software is running, you can easily drag and drop files and entire folders from your local and network drives to your Zdrive. Does Zdrive currently offer a photo album?
We are currently in the process of developing additional tools that will allow you to more easily preview and display the pictures stored on your Zdrive. We anticipate releasing this upgrade to our system in the coming months.

Can I version my documents from within my Zdrive account?
Unfortunately, Zdrive does not have any versioning support built into its product. This is a popular feature request and we have it on our project list. For the time being the best solution is to use the versioning support that comes with the application for whatever file you're working on.

Unfortunately, Zdrive does not support the direct linking of files from its site to be viewed on web pages (this includes auctions like E-bay and Yahoo). Zdrive has been designed as a file storage and sharing service -- not as a web host.
